Get to know the many attractions that make San Francisco a world-class city, from the Golden Gate Bridge to the North Beach and Chinatown neighborhoods, plus San Francisco's famed Cable Cars and Alcatraz Island.
Located in the iconic Warwick San Francisco Hotel, La Scene Café & Bar has closed as of November 17th, undergoing a major renovation and rebirth as a new restaurant and bar concept. The new restaurant, Aveline, and the new bar/lounge, The European, are set to open early Spring 2014.
Designed by the award-winning, global creative agency, UXUS, the building's historic elements are threaded throughout the design, creating spaces that are both distinct and connected. The restaurant showcases a warmly lit open kitchen and central wine display within a light and approachable dining room. The bar and lounge mix a Northern California spirit with Parisian zest where workroom meets living room, industry meets leisure, and the style is always relaxed.
Casey Thompson makes her San Francisco culinary debut at the helm of Aveline, a name that pays homage to her culinary heritage. Guests can find a menu inspired by San Francisco, shared in a convivial space where kitchen, dining, and living are open to each other. Her vision is simple: bring the best ingredients of the season to the table in expertly crafted dishes.
Aveline's partner, The European, is an intimate bar and lounge, offering guests an array of original craft cocktails and classic favorites in a relaxed environment. The menu, created by Master Barman Adam Wilson, is influenced by his travels and is reflective of the rich history and evolution of European spirits and cocktails.
